About the Event

How do you convert your idea into reality? Entrepreneurship is the activity of creating a new opportunity and nurturing it into a business or organization. Simply put, it's converting an idea into reality and then sustaining that reality. Anyone can be an entrepreneur, but what hinders most is the lack of patience and the misuse of one's resources.

Connect Volunteering was founded just one week after the idea was formed. We understand the importance of entrepreneurship and we want to help other's in the community realize their potential to be an entrepreneur. We are holding a virtual workshop to not only walk through some steps to transform your idea, but also look into some personal experiences of founders and CEOs of successful start-ups to help you visualize the process. One such person is Alexander Miles, the founder and CEO of the successful start-up SportsHi. A high-school sports network made to encourage high-schoolers to pursue sports by creating a community where all student-athletes can grow. SportsHi has many resources and uses for players, coaches, and colleges. Many universities utilize SportsHi, some include Yale and Brown. Alexander Miles will be speaking at our workshop about entrepreneurship and how he got to where he is.

The workshop will cover many topics. Here are just a few of them:

  • Developing the Opportunity
  • Launching Your Plan
  • Strategizing Your Growth
  • Sustaining Your Growth

Each of these topics have an array of sub-topics that will be explained in detail at our workshop.
